Clothing is a non-verbal method of communication. It is the first thing that speaks to others before we even utter the word ‘hello’. We all want to best express ourselves using the language of clothes, and for those that need some help in speaking the language, lara.tobin.styling can teach those wishing to learn.

 

What sets me apart from other wardrobe stylists and consultants? My philosophy: the yin and yang theory. Our physical body is the yin and our mental body is the yang. One cannot exist without the other, and they give rise to each other. When styling, I fit clothes to both your body and personality. What may physically fit does not mean that it fits mentally. A colour that brings out your eyes is still your least favourite colour; perhaps the piece of clothing is simply too fashion-forward for your taste. Whatever the reason, looking and feeling your best is only communicated through clothes when the garment is the right fit in both your mind and on your body.
